When it comes to creating content for your company’s social media and marketing channels, it can seem overwhelming or daunting. Especially if you’re not naturally comfortable taking photos or videos.
But I promise, there are plenty of easy ways and we’re going to share 3 of them in this article here.
- Instagram Stories
This is a really simple one, and maybe one that you’d overlook. With over 1.3 billion users*, Instagram is one of the biggest and most popular social media apps out there. The average user spends over 10 hours a month on Instagram*!! That’s crazy. Anyway, let’s get to to the point.
Using Instagram stories, you can create content for your brand. It’s great for creating graphics; using photos or making them from scratch. With the create mode, you can add colored backgrounds, text, paste images, and design how you’d like. You could make a testimonial graphic out of this, or an offer for your customers, and more.
Using a combination of images + text, you could promote the products or services that your company offers, right from the ease of the Instagram app. From there, you just click the 3 dots at the top and hit save and now you can use that on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and of course Instagram too.
- Using Your Phone
That device you pick up probably 50 times a day? Yeah, you can create content from it. The cameras on mobile phones these days are incredible. Do you have an offer to share with your customers? A message to share with your audience? Pick up your phone and film a video, it’s that simple!
Often times, people appreciate a real video from someone filmed on a phone because it feels more organic, so this can be a great way to connect with your audience.
Tip – Face a nearby window if possible for better lighting in your video!
- Starting A Podcast
This last method requires just a little work, but can be a big one for your brand! Podcasts are widely popular in various industries, from marketing to true crime, sports, comedy, entrepreneurship, and so much more. They can be consumed while driving, walking the dog, working out, showering, and other passive activities – bottom line, your audience has tons of opportunity to hear your podcast.
There are plenty of affordable microphones out there these days, and using your phone for video, you could create your own podcast and start publishing it for free on platforms like Anchor, Stitcher, and others. Invite people in your industry to be guests on the podcast, or create episodes based on subjects of your industry and share your knowledge in each one.
Once you’ve recorded episodes, you have the full length show, and the opportunity to create short micro-content for social media to help promote your podcast, therefore advertising your brand too! Below we’ll link to a few affordable microphones to check out.
We hope you got some value out of this article and learned a few ways to create marketing content for your business!
