From brainstorming through the final cut, we're your partner every step of the way. Here's what you can expect when working with us.
Discovery, Strategy + Planning (1-3 weeks)
Every project requires careful and strategic planning, and we don't take that lightly. We take the time to understand your business and your goals. We look at what you're trying to achieve, and how we can be that solution.
We then work with you to expand on the idea and provide structure to the concept, or if you have the vision set, we'll look at how we can make it happen.
Looking over the plan for the video(s), we start to create shot lists and/or storyboards to start painting the picture. Next we'll look at potential production days, working with you and our crew to begin scheduling filming and confirming the location(s).
If models/actors/actresses are needed, we can help with that too! We have various sources to help find the right talent for your project.
Overall this part of the process can take anywhere from one to three weeks, depending on how many videos we're creating, if there's any locations we need to secure permission for, how many filming days we need to plan for, if we're writing a script, etc.
Production (varies)
Production is where things really begin to come to life. We capture high-quality visuals and audio that align with the vision for your video.
Our crew comes prepared to film and direct, ensuring everything we capture leads to a perfect final product. If you or your team will be on camera, our Producer will guide you through it all to make sure you feel comfortable and deliver confidently.
Organization and efficiency are very important, and we keep that in mind while moving through the shot list. However, we're always adapting, so if something comes up throughout the day, we're happy to readjust in order to make the final product better.
Production timeline can vary depending on how many filming days there are, and any scheduling conflicts. A majority of our projects call for just 1 or 2 days of production, but we've had larger projects with 5-7 days of production. Generally we aim to complete production within 1-2 weeks of finishing discovery + planning, if possible.
Post-Production (2-5 weeks*)
This is where "the magic happens" as some might say. Post-production/editing is where we go through everything we've captured, and start to assemble it all, according to the vision for the project.
We assemble all the video + audio, find music, create any graphics or animation (if the projects calls for it), add company branding/logos, and perform color grading and audio mastering.
Editing is one of the most important phases, as this is truly where your video(s) comes together and takes shape.
Generally, from the time that production is finished, we supply a first draft in about 3 weeks. *But every project is different and we've completed videos on various deadlines. Some have been completed in just a few days, while other more intense projects have taken a few months. If you have a particular deadline to meet, we will work with you to deliver on that.
At Focus Forward Media we offer 3 revisions with every project. So once we deliver the first draft, we work with you to finalize the video and make sure it's exactly to your liking. Once it's finalized and approved, we supply you with the high quality file(s) to download.

While some of our clients handle distribution on their own, we can provide you with strategic insight into where, and how you should put out your video(s).
